Dinner

For a science project this week Kira had to "observe" something and take notes. She decided to observe dinner at our house on Monday night. I didn't think much of it. But then I read her notes and almost fell over laughing. Because it's all true. So true. And so for history, I must write it down so we never forget what dinner was like in 2011:

Dinner

Isaac says the prayer.
Mike spills spaghetti all over.
Mike starts to walk around.
Kate spills water.
Dad asks how our days were.
Isaac talks about being the special helper at school.
Mike flicks cup across the table.
Isaac steals Mikey's meatballs.
Isaac starts talking again.
Calvin doesn't use his fork.
Kate uses her hands to eat.
Mike cries for apple juice.
Kate spills spaghetti.
Kate goes to wash her face.
Dad hands out vitamins.
Everyone eats their vitamins and asks for more.
Kate puts her bowl (full) up to her face and eats.
Mom asks Isaac about his hearing aids.
Kate talks about her day.
Mom asks Kate why she is eating straight from her bowl.
Mom & Dad start doing the dishes.
Kate & Calvin leave.
Isaac spills his water.
Isaac whines about cleaning up his mess.
Isaac puts his cup in his spaghetti.
Isaac leaves.
Mike leaves.
Mom wipes down the table.
Kate starts reading over my shoulder.
Mom and Dad say I need to eat and stop writing.

Yep, that's about it. Pretty much every meal. Maybe we should have an FHE lesson on manners. I LOVE my family! :)
