Serving Time before the Prison Sentence Begins

For the second year in a row we went to the "Serving Time Cafe," just outside of the Bluffdale prison, to have a little lunch before school starts. We joke that school is like a prison sentence so this feels like an appropriate place to dine on the day before you report to your prison sentence first day of school. The restaurant is run by inmates, the decor involves a lot of license plates and old prison photos. The menu includes "Daily Infractions" and "Time Off for Good Behavior" (Desserts). It's cheesy and the food is pretty average and the kids are running around like crazy and I end up forking over $30 for lunch for 6 but it's fun to have a tradition with your best friends. Even though the moms are thinking maybe we should start a new tradition that doesn't involve taking 9 kids to a restaurant!
