Enough Already

Okay, I can't take it anymore. This stuff is WAY too boring. Even Jeff (who rarely reads my blog) said "Honey, why are you writing such boring blog posts?" So I will spare everyone the monotonous details of our boring life. Yes, we drive a lot, eat a lot, still wish I could sleep a lot, do a lot of laundry, homework and a few chores. Woo hoo! Maybe I should have done a week in the life of the Davis's when we're on vacation in some amazing tropical locale. That sounds way more interesting to me. :)

We did have the Pine Wood Derby last night for Calvin. He didn't place overall but his car still went 228 mph! Jeff was a bit lazy this year (ok, I guess I will give him an out...he was REALLY sick the last 2 weeks) and he and Calvin decided to just use the same car as last year which may or may not be against the rules since we were in a different ward. They thought their car would kill the competition this year. It was really fast, but the other kids' cars ended up beating the "Carnivore" in the end. The girls and Mikey even painted their faces so they could be "fans" for Calvin. (Kira's idea). Isaac "built" his own Derby car and they let him race it at the end. He was so patient throughout the whole event and was ecstatic when he finally got to race his marker-colored-pre-cut-out-kit-car-with-masking-taped-on-axles-pine-wood-derby-truck. We ended the night with a trip to Orange Leaf!

Side note: I found a few cute notes taped to Kate's door on St. Patrick's Day. She is pretty hilarious!
