Meadow Hot Springs

In the middle of our drive down to St. George I said, "Hey! Why don't we stop at those Hot Springs in Meadow?!" We weren't in any hurry and it was just off the freeway a bit. Everyone had a swimsuit in the car except Jeff. He just made do with his running shorts. The hot pots are seriously in the middle of NOWHERE. Jeff had been there last Spring with Calvin and the scouts so luckily he knew where to go. There are no signs. You just follow this dirt road out into the middle of a random farmer's field. There are deep pot holes in the road and some ranch style fences around three holes in the ground filled with crystal clear water from some hot springs deep below. We parked and walked out to the largest hole. It smelled a little like sulphur but it was warm and fun. We came back to the smaller, cleaner hole and swam around for almost an hour. It was cold and windy outside so the hot water felt great! There was only one other family there but they left shortly after we arrived so we had the place to ourselves. Which was a good thing because we realized we had no towels and would have to drip dry. So we stripped down naked on all four sides of the car so we couldn't see each other. Kira and I stood back to back behind the car and laughed our heads off as the wind dried us. It didn't take long before we were nice and dry. Besides being naked in the middle of a field in the cold wind, that was the best and fastest way to dry off after a swim! Luckily for us we had just pulled our dry clothes on when two cars came speeding down the dirt road towards us. In plain sight of where we had just been air drying in our birthday suits. "Just another adventure with Mom!" I told them. We giggled as we all piled in the car and Kira asked "Mom, have YOU ever been skinny dipping?" Um....
