Kira's First Blog Post

Yesterday was a little crazy, but it was still fun. We started off the day by going to Kneaders. We all had two HUGE pieces of french toast, YUM! Then we left to the Air Show. Boy was there traffic! We were waiting for thirty minutes in a long line of cars. Then when we FINALLY got where we were supposed to turn a Highway Patrolman told us to get back on the freeway and start going to the next exit. So that probably took about 45 minutes all together. When we finally got to the Air Show we had to wait another probably 10 minutes in line to go through a metal detector. By then we were all pretty bored. When we got past the metal detectors we started looking at some of the airplanes. Then we looked up at the sky. There was an airplane doing twirls and dives and barrel rolls. It was AMAZING! Then we got to go through the big "Travis" (the cargo plane). It was so big, it was bigger than our house. During all of this Isaac was pretty crazy. And Katesie was a little whiny. Well, and me and Calvin we were kind of running away. So Mommy and Daddy got a little cranky. Oh, I forgot to tell you, my Dad invited the Tillmans to come with us but we couldn't find them anywhere. When we were about to leave we spotted them. Daddy said, "Hey look! There's the Tillmans!" We ran up to them but we were about to leave so we told them that we'd meet them at my Aunt Keri's house to swim in their HUGE pool. Then we left and we went to my Aunt Keri's, hopped in the pool and swam for about an hour. Then the Tillmans came. Calvin was screaming with excitement. I just kept swimming because I was trying to get the giant blow-up crocodile from my cousin McKay. I didn't notice they were there until Garrett slid down the slide and made a huge splash. We swam for about 30 minutes more. Then we heard a REALLY LOUD noise. We all looked up. It was the Thunderbirds! And they were flying right over our heads! They flew over us about 15 times. Then they stopped. We were swimming and I had just gotten the huge blow-up crocodile from McKay when we heard the Thunderbirds again. They were flying in diamond shapes, in groups of 5 and while they were in groups of 5 they were doing loop-de-loops and dives staying in the same formation. Then we hopped out of the pool and my Dad made some slushies. "MMMM those were good!" everybody said. We all had three snowcones. Then we got back in the pool. We played for a little more. Then our parents said it was time to go, but my Aunt Keri thought differently. She brought out a HUGE cake and she said "Everybody you can have as many pieces as you want!" I wanted seconds, but my Mom wouldn't let me. Then we left. We came home and watched a movie. It was "Hook" my favorite. We all fell asleep early that night. WOW! What a day!
