Pioneer Day Traveling
Friday, July 24th
We had such an amazing trip to Washington this year. We are
so grateful for my good parents and grandparents and family and friends that we
get to visit when we are there. They are so generous and kind and loving to us.
Our trip home was mostly smooth and uneventful. We did get
to fly a little puddle-jumper twin prop Indiana Jones style plane from Seattle
to Portland. We boarded outside on the tarmac and the kids thought that was
pretty cool. We got home around 8:30pm. The weather was calm and warm so we sat
on the deck and visited with Elena while we ate Costa Vida. Then we turned on
the slide and enjoyed a night swim as a family while watching the panorama of
Pioneer Day fireworks from the deck. Picture perfect!
Picking onions (above) and cutting lettuce (below) Mikey loved helping Nana in her garden!
Drive-by view of downtown Seattle on our way to the airport. This was the only cloudy/drizzly day of our entire 11 day trip!
These kids are great little travelers!
