The Law of the Harvest

Edison, WA
After a fun, long week on the island and on the water, we
were ready for a day of rest. We enjoyed a lazy morning since church wasn’t until
1pm. It was so hot today—the church was roasting! It was a record-tying hot day
today. 95 degrees at SeaTac airport. I think it was over 90 degrees in Edison.
And without air conditioning, it makes it pretty darn hot!
This week we've been talking with the kids about the Law of the Harvest. Ironically, that is also what the talks were about in Sacrament Meeting today. We've been talking about Nana's blueberries and the lessons we can learn from them. Her blueberry bushes are amazing! The are huge and drooping with blueberries. They've built a huge net around them so the birds don't eat the berries and she does a ton of work every year to ensure a good harvest. Her garden is the same way. It's a good physical object lesson that you reap what you sow!
